The stator drives the revolving armature in an electric motor, the stator transforms the rotating magnetic field into electric current. The stator has tight windings and no nylon covering, allowing heat to drain from the stator winding more efficiently during operation. The design will prolong the life of this critical source of power for the ignition system by using larger magnet wire winding on their capacitor charge coils.
