This Power Pack is for Johnson, Evinrude Outboards. It fits Evinrude/Johnson 80hp, 90hp, 100hp, and 115hp, 1989-1999 crossflow model outboard engines. It supplies voltage to the ignition system's power coils. The heart of the outboard motor ignition system controls the timing of ignition functions on all engine cylinders. It is also the head of the outboard ignition system because of its complexity. It collects and holds a charge of electricity. A dead power pack or malfunction can cause problems in starting up the Johnson outboard. If there is no spark it fails, you can use a multimeter to test the power pack.
