The switch box monitors the trigger voltages of each ignition circuit. As the magnet approaches a trigger coil, the coil's trigger voltage rises and peaks as the magnet come near the coil's top. As the electromagnet moves away, the voltage reverses. The increasing voltage is crucial. The switch box establishes a voltage threshold, and it discharges a capacitor to the ignition coil when it's achieved. Because the trigger rotates with throttle position, timing is varied. It is also electronically adjusted. CDI Electronics has been providing value and low cost-of-ownership to the maritime and motorsport industries for over 30 years. Our mission is to supply engine users and manufacturers worldwide with quality ignition and diagnostic solutions. We also think it is our responsibility to train and educate industry technicians on how to diagnose and install ignition products.
