The Turbo for Johnson/Evinrude 2-stroke fits all V6 and V8, 1991, and a Newer outboard motor. The propeller would rub on the gear case housing without it. It helps the propeller to keep its position in the center of the shaft. It transmits and resolves axial forces in rotating mechanisms to keep components aligned along a shaft. Proper lubrication/oil supply helps to maintain it working properly. It is sensitive if not oiled properly with the correct oil weight and oil pressure. Keep clean and lubricated.
