In contrast to brass bushings, which are softer and more readily deformed, bronze sleeve bushings or bronze bearings are rigid and sturdy. As a result, bronze bushings outlast brass bushing sleeves. They are defiant to stress, impact, wear, and corrosion. They require an external lubricant, such as grease or oil, during installation and operation to prevent friction and wear.
