Modern engines now require gasoline to be injected, necessitating the usage of electric fuel pumps. Fuel is delivered to the injectors at a specific pressure by an electronic fuel pump. Injectors either directly dispense gasoline into the combustion chamber or onto the intake manifold (manifold injection) (petrol direct injection). The electric fuel pump moves the fuel from the tank to the injectors using manifold injection. Like electric fuel pumps, high-pressure pumps are used in petrol direct injection to compress the power to a more significant pressure before delivering it to the high-pressure injectors. The electric fuel pump (EFP) is responsible for supplying the engine with enough gasoline at the force needed for injection, whether the engine is warm or cold.
