A fuel pump pulls the fuel from the fuel tank through fuel lines and distributes it to a carburetor or fuel injector, then to the cylinder chamber for combustion via a fuel filter. A fuel pump distributes liquid from the fuel tank to the internal combustion engine's carburetor or fuel injector. Carbureted engines frequently use low-pressure mechanical pumps mounted outside the fuel tank. Engines frequently use electric fuel pumps mounted inside the tank (and some fuel-injected engines have two fuel pumps: one low-pressure/high-volume supply pump in the tank and one high-pressure/low-volume pump on or near the engine). If the fuel pressure is too high, the engine will run rough and rich, failing to burn all fuel pumps, rendering it inefficient and polluting. The engine may run lean, misfire, or stall if the pressure is too low.
Key Features:
- It generates a pressure difference between the main fuel line and the compression chambers,
- It is longlasting and durable.
- It has anti-corrosion ability.
