The electric water pump was made to reduce the power drag that traditional pulley drive units produce. A heavy-duty electric motor turning around 1,500 rpm is higher enough to meet cooling requirements without depleting engine horsepower. Even when the engine is off, the unit can be wired to operate manually. At 176 degrees Fahrenheit, the motor life at 2,750 hours of continuous operation. The kit comes with gaskets, a billet aluminum intake fitting, mounting hardware, a pigtail connector, and a timing cover block-off plate. The pump housing is a casting that houses the pump's internal components. This component is critical because it protects the inside of the pump from the environment, preventing leakage and maintaining pressure.
